The endless variety of colors and textures, and sometimes found objects, is where the my creations begin. I enjoy warping and weaving a plain woven design, making it unique with the arrangement of chosen materials.
I began weaving on a piece of cardboard in eighth grade. The next piece of tapestry I wove was on a frame loom. With it I made a few table runners and lap throws. Soon enough, my dad gave me a wonderful two harness floor loom that I still enjoy working on for commissioned pieces. Eventually my desire to experiment and create more complex designs led me to purchase additional Schacht looms. With them I continue weaving new ideas and learning new tricks everyday.
Participating in a few area shows and festivals each year is something I enjoy very much. I especially look forward to an annual invitation to demonstrate weaving at the prestigious Art On The Square in Belleville, Illinois.
My work is available from time to time at various galleries, by contacting me direct to purchase something shown on this site, or perhaps something designed especially for you!
